No worries. I don't use LJ much so don't know all the etiquette. It was too important a subject to let it go. I will think about what you said about the military. My grandfather was a major - a bomb disposal expert - but I think WW2 was very different from things going on now. And I can't imagine having enough faith in a government to agree to follow it to war. I suppose that's why a lot of soldiers were conscientious objectors in the Iraq conflict, and now in the Israeli army.
